DENIM BLUES
Does denim ever wax or wane in popularity? It’s possible that I just love denim so much, it’s always going to be the basis of my wardrobe. It also happens to go with absolutely everything and gets better with age, sun and salt water. (#Beachcore anyone?) Pale blues are one of the most fashionable colors this season so look for lighter shades, either clean or washed down, to wear on repeat. You can’t go wrong with denim paired with white, ivory, and tan so grab your favorite eyelet shirts and raffia bags!

II.
PALE YELLOW
Pale yellows this season range from a new neutral ….akin to ivory or beige…to a beautiful buttery shade. Seen on the runways of Loewe, Brandon Maxwell, Tove, and Zimmermann, you can find classic pieces that slide right into your wardrobe now and might just become a mainstay going forward. I will be wearing these gorgeous new shades back to white and pale blue now and with chocolate brown later this year for a rich, fall color combo.

III.
RED HOT
There is no ignoring the hottest hue of the season! From swimwear to dresses to accessories, cherry red is dominating the color scene. I love that red is such a classic color (does it ever really go out of style?) and looks good on every skin tone.

IV.
BLACK AND WHITE
Head to toe white is always a popular summer look, but black & white adds a chic, graphic element when worn together. You can’t go wrong by gathering your favorite black and white pieces and mixing & matching them to create new looks. I love adding a stripe or a texture to tie them together.

V.
PASTELS
Feminine pastels replaced bright color this season with sky blues, sweet pinks, celadon greens, pale yellows and lilacs being dominant…and I’m here for all of them! Pastels were all over the runway including at Bottega Veneta, Michael Kors, Gucci, Tom Ford and Alaia. These macaron-shades have been a nice departure from the Barbie Pink we were all forced to endure this past year!
