LET the LIGHT IN
Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting
Not only do I love fashion, but I also love all things home and interior design. I subscribe to Arch Digest and pour over the pages every month, dreaming of my own future projects. My friend Allison (whose home should be in AD!) introduced me to this company that sees lighting design as an art form and I was immediately obsessed with their work. Established in 1940, they have remained true to their founder’s vision of working with designers, sculptors and decorative artists to create unique pieces that grace homes and businesses all over the world. After 80 years their legacy continues with beautiful artistic pieces that not only complement a space but become the focal point. My mood boards are now punctuated with images of their designs to fill every room in my home….starting with this gorgeous chandelier and this bathroom lighting from their Foret Collection which I need asap! For a more sleek aesthetic, check out the new Antonia Straight Collection which offers a tailored look to any space.
See all of their work, from sleek modern designs to intricate organic pieces on their website and IG.

the ART
Jessie Tristan Read
It’s hard to find art you truly love, but when you do, you know immediately. I had that visceral reaction recently when I was introduced to Jessie Tristan Read’s work. Jessie is a contemporary abstract painter who uses bold, expressive strokes to cover the canvas. I specifically love her oversized works and the way she combines color and texture. These are the kinds of pieces I’d love to hang in my home, where I stick to mainly neutrals for the furniture and decor and add in fun pops of color in the art throughout. The only problem now is which painting to choose as it’s going to be hard to pick just one!
