I just discovered a fantastic jewelry designer / artist named Rosa Mendez, when I was in Spain. I bought a pair of her earrings in Madrid and they are beautiful! My favorite thing about her work is the use of different, contrasting materials, playing off each other in finish and transparency. Often Rosa works with glass. Though the glass is a hard, linear, sculptural material, her work still remains very delicate and feminine looking, almost appearing dainty.
