FAUX FUR COAT
Something you should know about me: I do not like fur—never have, never will. So I personally only vet faux options. I once designed two skirts for Net-a-Porter x J.Crew that had feather trim on them (see pic below), and I genuinely thought feathers were just… collected. When I learned how they were actually procured, I vowed never to use feathers again. (I’ll let you google that one.) So yeah, no fur and no feathers.
But honestly, that’s okay, because there are so many incredible faux-fur jackets and coats right now that add both warmth and style with none of the guilt. It’s actually getting harder and harder to spot the real from the faux. I would say faux fur is the number one winter coat trend of the year and a standout addition to any winter wardrobe.
