Officially Back in Office

After years of hybrid schedules and casual zoom-ready tops (what everyone wears on the bottom is really none of our business), the reality has set in: we’re officially back in the office. And while getting back to the grind after glorious summer vacations might sound daunting, curating a stylish work wardrobe you’re genuinely excited to wear Monday through Friday can make all the difference. Just picture Andrea in The Devil Wears Prada immediately after her work makeover and channel that energy. This fall is the perfect opportunity to refresh your workwear outfits so you walk into every meeting looking as confident as you feel. And since 9-5 looks are officially trending, there is no shortage of swoon-worthy fall pieces to choose from.

MONDAY MORNING MEETINGS

If it’s hard to get out of bed on Monday mornings (guilty!), a head-to-toe black outfit makes getting dressed easy. I’m a huge fan of fan black on black outfits as they always look chic. You may even have these key pieces already in your wardrobe (another win!). Black pants paired with a black turtleneck, gold jewelry and ballet flats feels effortless and very 90’s in the best way possible. Try tying a scarf around your bag to add a modern twist during your commute. This tote bag is a great commuter piece – I personally cram my laptop, wallet, water bottle and phone into a large tote before hopping on the train to meetings. I love knowing that anything I pick up along the way will fit in my bag and I won’t need to carry anything separately!

TUESDAY’S PITCH

To get down to business on Tuesdays, a menswear button-down shirt with wide-leg pants is the perfect look. It works for that important business meeting or when you’re pulling long hours at the office. Add a fun pattern or pop of color to your shoes and a sleek belt to tie the whole look together. I love how comfortable and relaxed this outfit is while still look extremely polished. They say dress for the role you want, not the role you have and to me this look says “boss”!

WEDNESDAY – MID WEEK REFRESH

In early fall, a feminine dress with knee-high boots is a great option for the office and a fun way to keep things fresh mid-week. The fall season is all about layering and one item that works over everything is the trench coat. Try adding one to any stylish fall work outfit to elevate your entire look.

POWER THURSDAY

Fall is officially leather weather and I can’t resist adding a bit of edge to my fall work outfits, especially when I have a mid-day event I promised to pop by! A frilly white top and leather pants are the perfect balance of pretty & tough that, IMO, all outfits need. Add in some kitten heels and a sleek bag to finish off the overall look. Pull your hair into a low bun with a pretty scarf and you’re ready for work plus cocktail hour afterwards…because weekends still start on Thursdays, right?

FRIDAY – FINISH OFF STRONG

Embrace this time of year when an oversized blazer is all you need as an outer layer. Wearing one with a pair of straight leg jeans is a perfect look for Fridays when casual outfits are acceptable in almost any office. Slim loafers, statement jewelry and the perfect white tee are a great way to finish off this “casual Fridays” power look. I’m planning to wear this blazer a ton this fall, with jeans for work and over a mini skirt for a fun night out look.
