I’m a huge fan of blazers, the way they can take even the most basic outfit and somehow make it appropriate for way more events than it would otherwise be without it. So it’s no surprise that I am equally obsessed with suit vests, the blazer’s sleeveless first cousin. Stylish and modern, it pairs with jeans just as easily as skirts or suit pants and makes an outfit instantly styled without any effort at all. I already own about five or six vests, but another one or two couldn’t hurt…

I wouldn’t mind owning a leather vest, a denim vest or one in the color of the season – butter yellow!

Is it just me or has the dial on spring break been turned up since we were kids? Everyone is heading to such fabulous destinations these days so incredibly chic dressing is also a must! Colorful crochet dresses, little balloon skirts and the new “It” jelly sandals are all on my shopping list for vacation this spring. From Cabo to Paris and everywhere in between, here are some stylish new pieces to shop for wherever your next destination takes you.

Just when you thought brown suede was over with spring’s arrival, it’s back with more styles to wear and more ways to style them this season. Brown suede bags? Check. Brown suede jackets? Check Check? Brown suede shoes? You get the point! If you bought amazing suede pieces last season, don’t put them away just yet! And if you haven’t, there’s still time to wear and enjoy any new pieces you’ve been wanting to purchase.

Personally this suede jacket and mini skirt from Massimo Dutti are calling my name. So are these strappy sandals and loafers from Aeyde. This belt from Khaite would be on rotation daily as would these bags from Madewell and Toteme.

Everywhere you look this spring there’s a sheer lace skirt, dress or top. From the gorgeous pieces on the Chloe runway to street style shots and celebrity pics, it’s all over my Instagram feed and, if I’m being honest, on my mood board too. I’m totally ready to bare my legs beneath a semi-sheer skirt, if only the weather would cooperate a bit more. But that just gives me more time to shop for my latest favorite pieces.

I’ve been wanting the Brinna Top from Ulla Johnson (which is really more like a dress) ever since I saw it come down the runway. The Vienne Lace Ruffle Top from LoveShackFancy has a Chloe vibe without the astronomical price tag. Some other lace pieces I’m loving now are the Amaline Top and Nandi Skirt from Doen, the Noa Lace-Paneled Dress from SEA, and this periwinkle top and long lace skirt from Zara which looks great as a set or worn separately.

I’ve been writing about pearls for a couple of years now – you can read previous posts here and here – namely about how to incorporate pearls into your everyday wardrobe in a cool, modern way that is in no way how your mother or grandmother styled their pearls. So I loved seeing all of the fun pearl creations on the runway at Chanel for FW25! From oversized crossbody necklaces, to single pearl bags, chained bracelets and long layered strands, the possibilities of how to wear them are truly endless and decidedly cool.

I personally love the way pearl necklaces look styled with overtly casual items like a track jacket or layered with other chains in a cool necklace stack. It’s fun to see them incorporated into shoes and accessories as well. Some of the pearl pieces I am currently eyeing are these pearl bow earrings, these Black Suede Studio mesh mules, this Chan Luu necklace and these gold shell earrings.

As tennis season is heating up, so are the other racket sports that have sprung up around it in recent years like pickleball, paddle and padel. (Are the latter two different sports or a British pronunciation of the same one?) Either way, I’ve heard so much about pickleball lately and not only from my dad who has been playing with his country club buddies down in Florida all winter.

Even my friend’s daughters who are in high school kicked off the season with a pickleball tournament, Pickleball4APurpose, and raised $2,500 to benefit Bored No More, a charity which provides entertaining activity bags to kids in hospitals throughout the U.S.

It seems that every age group is getting in on the action and brands are jumping in as well with sporty collabs and pieces designed specifically for America’s fastest growing sport. I’m personally purchasing this Athleta popover and this pleated skirt to start playing with my friends as soon as the courts by me open up in April!

Maximilian Davis can do no wrong as creative director of Ferragamo. He’s breathing new life into the brand with his modern take on luxury that also feels extremely cool and accessible. The brand seems to be going through a renaissance of sorts with pieces that are destined to achieve cult status like the Hug Bag and the East/West Tote Bag.

The latest in the series of must-haves? These ballet-inspired lace up shoes that make me nostalgic for my childhood when I lived in leotards, little fluttery skirts and leg warmers. But this inspiration is all grown up and has a sexy, pilates-esque vibe that I am definitely into. While they might not be something you can wear everyday, the inspiration certainly is.

It’s only natural to have those few things you reach for every single day. They’re stylish but comfortable and they just feel like you.
