Summer in the Hamptons is always peak season, and even I can’t resist the pull. Just a hop, skip, and a jump from New York City, the LIE and Hampton Jitney are packed with city dwellers and tastemakers making their way out east for their weekend escape. Sure, they might be chasing pristine beaches, boutique shopping, wine tastings, or that perfect lobster roll along the Montauk Highway, but we all know the Hamptons are about so much more than that. Beyond the acclaimed restaurants and endless shoreline, what keeps me coming back are the chic pop-up celebrations, book launches, polo matches, and, of course, the parade of high-end fashion at every turn. This summer, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite highlights to give you a glimpse of what truly makes the Hamptons the summer destination.

Pop Up Events
Summering in the Hamptons is all about all the best of everything with top fashion and luxury brands making their mark on the hottest place to spend your time late May to early September. This year’s Hamptons polo had a pop-up with New York Times contributing editor Alix Strauss for her The Joy of Funerals 20th Anniversary of her book in conjunction with new women’s apparel fashion brand Grey/Ven, known for their elevated essentials including clothing and chic, modern, and sleek leather handbags with their signature glossy finish.
The brand hosted two events with Alix, one at Hamptons Polo and the other at the Grey/Ven East Hampton flagship store with brand CEO Scott Weissman. Guests included Real Housewives of New York fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff, and Social Life magazine’s editor in chief Devorah Rose. Keep an eye out on this Sex in the City meets Six Feet Under book as The Joy of Funerals is in early development with A24 for screen development!

Intimate Luncheon
Not to be outdone, was an intimate summer season luncheon hosted by Hamptons favorite Alicia Goldstein, Founder of Chrysos Partners, at the popular French Bistro Le Bilboquet in Sag Harbor, where St. Tropez meets the Hamptons with guests including Forbes magazine cover star Jackie Reses, writer Caroline Waxler, Rolise Rachel, co-founder of The Family Office Summit, and James Mallios, the owner of the delicious Greek hotspot and restaurant Calissa in Water Mill. At Le Bilboquet, guests dined on the restaurant’s favorite jerk chicken, and dressed to impress with the restaurant’s strict dress code of no beach attire. Restaurant policy states no team shirts are allowed unless you’ve just won the Superbowl!

Networking Event
Next up, was the inspirational Morphmom women’s networking club panel discussions at the luxury brand boutique co-op The HUB (Hub Hamptons) in Bridgehampton. The panel discussions were led by the friendly and effervescent Kathleen Butler Smith, bringing together top women entrepreneurs, fashion designers, TV hosts, and book authors. Distinguished guest speakers included fashion designer Joey Wölffer of Reworked by Joey Wölffer who has created one-of-a-kind pieces of reimagined women’s wear and whose family owns the fabulous Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, TV host and Ali’s Well That Ends Well author Ali Wentworth, and hotelier Sarah Wetenhall of The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach and The Hedges Inn in East Hampton.

One of the best takeaways for the event guests was a gorgeous Mineral Seaside Striped beach blanket from Boll & Branch, which was immediately spotted at Main Beach in East Hampton the next day.

Jenni Kayne Featuring Adriane Stark
One of the best things about the Hamptons is that style, fashion, lifestyle, and interior design are at the forefront of everything. Fashion and accessories brand Jenni Kayne has expanded with a Home Collection at its Southampton store, and recently hosted a pop-up of celebrated Hamptons-based fine art photographer Adriane Stark of Adriane Stark Studio, known for her for her dynamic botanical images and striking architectural compositions. Stark was thrilled to share her work celebrating the extraordinary natural beauty of the beloved Hamptons with a deep passion for capturing the region’s stunning landscapes, pristine coastlines, and ever-changing light.

Christian Siriano Interiors
Stark, a former art director for House Beautiful and Rolling Stone, has had busy summer, as her images were also recently featured at Holiday House Hamptons, a designer showhouse in Water Mill benefitting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Other artists and brands included Debra Bussell, Fish Row Designs, Found Collectibles & Rodrigo Salem Suito, Riese Design, Studio AK, Brogan Lane Design, and esteemed fashion designer Christian Siriano.
Christian Siriano launched Siriano Interiors in 2021 and his brand includes a line of sculptural furniture, chairs crafted of bouclé (fun fashion note: that’s the same material as Chanel’s iconic tweed jackets), full of fashion and design sensibility to create spaces that are vibrant, reflecting the best of travel and global influences.
